Trust in the EU in Italy 2009-2020

As of 2020, 39 percent of respondents in Italy declared to trust the European Union. Compared to 2009, the share of Italian citizens who trust the European Union decreased by 10 percentage points. According to another survey conducted in Italy during the first wave of COVID-19 infections, the support of the EU intervention towards Italy during the emergency was considered weak.
