Opinion on prioritizing athletes for COVID vaccine in the U.S. 2021
The professional sports industry came to a grinding halt in 2020 as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Many sporting events were cancelled or played behind closed doors, while others were played with just a fraction of the usual attendance. However, the arrival of vaccines has given hope that sports fans will once again be able to enjoy love sporting events in the near future. A safe environment must also be created for the players involved in these events, with some people calling for these athletes to be given priority for receiving the coronavirus vaccine. During a January 2021 survey in the United States, just 19 percent of respondents stated professional athletes should have priority for the vaccine, while 22 percent believed that college athletes should be given priority.
