Energy production from natural gas in Algeria 2010-2021
In 2021, the total primary energy production from natural gas in Algeria amounted to 3.8 quadrillion British thermal units (BTUs), increasing compared to the previous year. The production of energy from natural gas resources in the country remained relatively stable in the period examined, reaching the lowest levels at 2.99 quadrillion BTUs in 2013. As of 2021, Algeria was the country producing the highest volume of natural gas in Africa. Moreover, natural gas constituted the major source of energy production in the country.
