From 2017 to 2019, children aged 0-9 years were most likely to have visited the emergency department (ED) due to tick bites. In 2019, roughly 10.5 thousand children 0 to 9 years of age visited the ED for tick bites. This is more than double compared with older children 10 to 19 years of age.
