Number of higher education institutions in Tunisia 2013-2019, by type of institution
In the academic year 2018/2019, the total number of public tertiary educational institutions in Tunisia reached 203, while private institutions were counted at 74, manifesting an annual increase since the academic year 2013/2014. Public tertiary education institutions increased only in 2014/2015 by five institutions, while new private institutions were launched on an annual basis and increased by a total of 27 by 2018/2019.
