Global natural gas export outlook by region 2019-2050

The Eurasia region is the greatest exporter of natural gas in the world. Home to the second largest natural gas producing country, Russia, the region exported 340 billion cubic meters worth in 2019. This figure is forecast to grow to 645 billion cubic meters by 2050. Meanwhile, Europe is expected to significantly reduce its standing in the global natural gas export market in that timeframe.
