In 2020, the import of inorganic chemicals into South Africa amounted to an approximate value of 1.19 billion U.S. dollars. This was a decrease in value in comparison to the preceding year, when roughly 1.21 billion U.S. dollars of the products were imported. Furthermore, Australia was one of the main trade partners of South Africa concerning inorganic chemical imports with a share of over 35 percent.
