Business impact of COVID-19 in terms of import and export in South Africa 2020
In terms of importing and exporting goods and services, the coronavirus pandemic impacted one third of South African businesses. This based of the results of an April 2020 survey. 38 percent of businesses that responded to this survey indicated to see an effect in import, whereas 32.3 percent for the export of goods and services. Roughly three percent, on the other hand, was not affected by COVID-19 and the measures taken to prevent the virus from spreading too fast.
