According to a survey from early 2021, angel investors and Latin American venture capital funds were the main sources of capital for educational technology startups in the region during the COVID-19 pandemic. In that period, two out of ten edtech startups interviewed reported having raised capital from those two sources. The own company founders were the third most popular option, with a share of respondents of 13 percent.
