Attitude toward compulsory COVID-19 vaccination in Russia 2021
In June 2021, more than one half of Russians definitely or rather did not support the decision of authorities of several regions to make it mandatory for companies in several sectors to vaccinate at least 60 percent of employees against COVID-19. The decision, imposed in the same month, stated that the staff should receive the first dose of the vaccine by mid-July 2021 and the second one by mid-August 2021. The concerned industries included the public sector, education and healthcare, fitness and beauty, and retail among others. The capital Moscow was first to set the rule, while several other federal subjects followed it shortly after.
