In 2018, the rate of hospital discharges of in-patients admitted for mental and behavioral disorders varied greatly from one European country to the other. In Romania, for instance, there were 1.3 thousand discharges of in-patients hospitalized for mental and behavioral disorders per 100,000 inhabitants, whereas there were only 50 in the Netherlands.
