In the United States in 2021, 10 percent of adults over 40 years stated that they would prefer that their families not know if they had dementia should they be diagnosed, whereas 77 percent stated that they would want their loved ones to be aware of their condition. This statistic shows the percentage of adults age 40 and older who would not want their family to know that they had dementia in the U.S. in 2021.
