Religious affiliation by socioeconomic class El Salvador 2019
A survey conducted in El Salvador showed that 54.74 percent of those belonging to the high and upper middle class follow the Catholic faith. Meanwhile, only 22.63 percent of them claimed to be Evangelicals. The share of Evangelists exceeded that of Catholics among Salvadoran of lower middle class, upper low class and of lower low class. Moreover, it was shown that the share of Evangelists has been growing in El Salvador in recent years.
