Largest operational coal power plants in Eurasia by capacity 2021
Ekibastuz-1 power station in Kazakhstan is the largest coal power plant operating in Eurasia as of 2021, with a capacity of four gigawatts. Ranking second and third, Reftinskaya GRES power station and Novocherkasskaya GRES power station, both in Russia, had a capacity of 3.8 and 2.7 gigawatts, respectively. Seven out of the ten largest coal power plants in Eurasia are located in Russia.
