Major private railways in Japan FY 2021, by sales
In the fiscal year 2021, Tokyu Corporation was the major private railway company in Japan with the highest revenues, which amounted to roughly 879.1 billion Japanese yen. In total, the major private railways generated around 6.26 trillion yen of sales. It is noteworthy that many of them engage in various businesses other than passenger transportation, such as real estate, department stores, and many more.
