Impact of politics on car ownership importance worldwide and in select countries 2020
Some 41 percent of respondents worldwide perceive activism and/or the political climate as a factor shifting their mindset on the importance of having a car. 35 percent of those surveyed globally remained neutral on the issue, while only a quarter of respondents affirmed politics did not impact the importance of car ownership for them. Opinions differ based on countries surveyed, with China reflecting results close to the world average, while respondents in Russia and the United States mostly did not identify politics as a factor in the importance of having a car.
