Japan: volume of steel products consumed for cars 2021

In the fiscal year 2021, the automotive industry in Japan consumed around 9.02 million tons of ordinary steel products, decreasing from roughly 9.17 million tons in the preceding fiscal year. This decrease was primarily caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, which disrupted the automotive industry.
