Expenditure on defence Netherlands 2014-2021
In 2021, the Netherlands spent approximately 14.4 billion U.S. Dollars on defence, which is an increase of around 1.3 billion U.S. Dollars in comparison to 2020. The lowest expenditure on defence since 2014 was recorded in 2015 with 8.7 billion U.S. Dollars, which is 5.7 billion U.S. Dollars less than in 2021. The highest expenditure on defence was recorded in the most recent time period. The spending on military increased every year except between 2014 and 2015.
