Import value of styrene worldwide in 2020, by country
China is the world's leading importer country of styrene. In 2020, the East Asian country imported over 2.8 million metric tons of the hydrocarbon, with a value of 2.1 billion U.S. dollars. Ranking second, but by a wide margin, was India, which imported some 558.5 million U.S. dollars of styrene. That year, the United States was the top exporting country of styrene worldwide, with an export value that amounted to 1.6 billion U.S. dollars.
