Export value of natural graphite worldwide in 2020, by country
China is the world's leading exporter country of natural graphite powder and flakes. In 2020, the East Asian country exported over 165 thousand metric tons of the mineral, with a value of 308.6 million U.S. dollars. Ranking second, but by a wide margin, was Germany, which exported some 25.3 million U.S. dollars of graphite. That year, the South Korea was the top importing country of natural graphite worldwide, with an import value that amounted to 102.1 million U.S. dollars.
