Global power sector emissions per capita 2021, by select country
Saudi Arabia's power sector had one of the highest carbon intensities per capita worldwide, at 5.82 metric tons of carbon dioxide. This is due to the country's high consumption of gas for electricity generation. Other large economies such as Australia and South Korea had similar per capita emission levels due to their usage of coal.
