By the end of 2022, 18 Let L-410 Turbolets, short-range transport aircrafts, were planned to be produced in Russia. Annual manufacturing volumes of aircraft fleet were expected to continue rising in the following years, reaching an estimated 186 by 2030. The production is part of Russia's Ministry of Transport comprehensive program for the replenishment of fleet with Russian-made aircrafts. The eight-year plan worth 627 billion Russian rubles constitutes a way to ease the impact of Western sanctions, which banned the purchase of foreign jets in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
