According to the results of a worldwide survey conducted with affluent consumers in the first quarter of 2024, buying goods second-hand was adopted more widely than renting them. Around 35 percent of consumers aged 40 and above said they buy second-hand goods. This share was slightly higher among younger consumers. In general, less than 15 percent of consumers across all age groups rented goods.
