According to the results of a worldwide survey conducted with affluent consumers in the first quarter of 2024, about 44 percent of female consumers thought buying secondhand goods to be very sustainable and environmentally-friendy, rating this practice 5 on a scale 1 to 5. The share of male consumers who considered buying secondhand goods to be 'very' sustainable or environmentally-friendly was slightly lower than this at about 28 percent.
