U.S. rate of new physical inactivity-associated cancers 2016-2020, by cancer type
Growing evidence suggests that physical activity lowers the risk of several types of cancer. In the United States, between 2016 and 2020, postmenopausal female breast cancer was the type of inactivity-associated cancer with the highest incidence, with a rate of 340.5 per 100,000 people.
