Change in employment in Spain between Q1 2008-Q1 2009, by age
During the first quarter of 2009, less than a year after the beginning of the Spanish financial crisis, there were, overall, 6.43 percent fewer people employed than during the same quarter of the previous year. Spaniards aged 16 to 19 years took the largest hit of the massive decline in employment, as the number of employed people in this age group was 38.53 percent lower in the first quarter of 2009 compared to the first quarter of 2008.
