Private consumption expenditure on restaurants and hotel services in Israel 2014-2021
In 2021, the private consumption expenditure on restaurants and hotel services in Israel amounted to over 45.4 billion Israeli shekels (roughly 12.6 billion U.S. dollars). This was a significant increase compared to the previous year. The private spending on restaurants and hotel visits gradually increased during the observed period, except for the drastic decline in 2020. In that year, hotels and restaurants remained closed for a few months as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic restrictions in the country.
