Share of Canadian seniors living in collective dwellings 2021, by age
In 2021, more than half of the people aged 100 and over in Canada were living in collective dwellings. Indeed, it seems that the proportion of people living in this type of housing increases with age: during the same year, 20.5 percent of people aged 85 to 89 lived in a collective dwelling, compared to 36.4 percent of people aged 90 to 94, and 45.8 percent of people aged 95 to 99.
