In 2021, the highest number of people in Sweden were employed in business service and financial industries, reaching around 757,000 employees. Of these, over 520,000 were men. Men also dominated within manufacturing, mining and quarrying, energy and environment, as well as several other industries. On the other hand, there were more female than male employees within human health and social work activities, education, and personal and cultural services.
