Economically inactive population in the Nordics 2021, by gender
The share of economically inactive persons is higher among women than among men in all five Nordic countries. In Norway, Finland, and Denmark, the share is over 22 percent for women, whereas it is lower in Sweden and Iceland. The inactivity rate in the Nordic countries is lower than in many other European countries.
