Population in Norway 2022, by type of household and gender
The most common type of household in Norway in 2022 was couples without resident children. Unsurprisingly, there were almost the same number of men and women living in this kind of household. Furthermore, a higher number of men than women lived in coupled households with children aged six to 17 years. On the other hand, there were more single mothers with children of this age than single fathers with children of the same age.
