Potential open insurance users by country 2022

In 2022, the country with the highest number of individuals prepared to utilize open insurance was China, with over 271.4 million open insurance-ready users. These individuals made up around one third of the potential open insurance users. The top three was completed by India and the United States, with around 270 million and 49.3 million open insurance-ready users, respectively. Open insurance refers to the sharing of large volumes of structured data within a digital ecosystem, in order to spur the development of new and innovative insurance options to be made available for consumers.
