Professional figures in eating disorder treatment facilities in Italy 2021
As of year-end 2021, there were a total of 91 facilities to treat eating disorders across the whole Italian territory. According to the records, 963 professionals were working in such facilities. This statistic shows the distribution of different professional figures operating in public eating disorder treatment facilities in Italy. Psychologists were the most common profession, with 24 percent. Child psychiatrist or neuropsychiatrists followed with 17 percent.
