Prevalence of obese and overweight children in Italy 2008-2019

Between 2008 and 2019, the overall prevalence of overweight and obese 8 and 9 year old children in Italy decreased. In 2019, the share of obese children amounted to 9.4 percent, while in 2008 it was 12 percent. The same trend, but with higher shares, was observed for overweight children. This statistic shows the percentage of obese and overweight children aged 8 and 9 years in Italy in selected years between 2008 and 2019.
