According to a survey in Malaysia, as of March 2022, 29 percent of respondents between the ages of 18 and 35 years said their trust in the current government in Malaysia has somewhat decreased since the COVID-19 pandemic began, while 17 percent in this age group said their trust had decreased a lot. By comparison, 22 percent of respondents over the age of 66 years said their trust in the government had increased a lot since the pandemic. Malaysia is planning to hold the 15th general election on November 19th, 2022.
