Concessions adults most often had while watching movies in theaters in the U.S. 2021
During an online survey conducted among adults in the United States in November 2021, around 40 percent said they almost always ate popcorn while watching a movie in a theater. Approximately 39 percent stated that they almost always drank soda on those occasions. In the U.S. and Canada, an average of over one-third of the revenue of the cinema chains came from selling food and beverage, known in the cinema market as concessions.
