According to a survey conducted in 2022, 48 percent of Americans who were 65 years old and over believed that taking out student loans was worth it, followed by 29 percent of Americans aged 45 to 64 years old. However, the age group least likely to believe that taking out student loans was worth it were those aged 35 to 44 years old, followed by Americans who were 18 to 34 years old.
