A survey conducted in the United States between 2020 and 2023 focused on the share of museum-goers visiting a museum over the previous year. In the 2023 poll, the share of respondents going to museums at least four times a year experienced an annual increase of four percentage points but remained significantly below pre-pandemic levels. That year, 21 percent of the sample reported visiting a museum less than once a year over the previous 12 months, dropping from 28 percent in 2022.
