Share of museum-goers visiting a museum in the U.S. 2020-2022, by frequency
A survey conducted in the United States between 2020 and 2022 focused on the share of museum-goers visiting a museum over the previous year. In the 2022 poll, the share of respondents going to museums at least four times a year experienced an annual increase of eight percentage points but remained below pre-pandemic levels. That year, 28 percent of the sample reported visiting a museum less than once a year over the previous 12 months, dropping from 45 percent in 2021.
