South Africa: international passengers Cape Town Airport 2019-2023

As of 2022, Cape Town International Airport processed nearly 1.9 million international passenger arrivals and departures. This was a increase compared to 2021 and 2020, mainly due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tourist flow in 2020 and 2021 remained significantly lower than in 2019. However, in 2022, it developed towards pre-pandemic levels. In the first half of 2023, there was an international passenger volume growth of 76 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
