Change in number of flights by leading Chinese airlines during Spring Festival 2023
During Spring Festival travel rush period in 2023, almost all major Chinese airlines increased the number of flights compared to the same period of the previous year. Air China saw the largest growth in the number of flights of nearly 49 percent compared to 2022. However, the number of flights operated during the Lunar New Year was still lower than before the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019.
