Germany plans to phase out a total of 15.3 gigawatts of power-generating capacity between 2022 and 2025. In 2023, nuclear power would account for over four gigawatts of electricity capacity withdrawn from the German market, while the capacity withdrawals in 2024 and 2025 will be mainly from coal-fueled plant shutdowns.
Power plant capacity expected to be withdrawn from the market in Germany from 2022 to 2025 (in megawatts)
