Loss of sensitive information in global organizations by country 2023

According to a 2023 survey of Chief Information Security Officers (CISO) worldwide, nearly nine in ten respondents in Sweden said their organization had encountered a loss of sensitive information in the past 12 months. Germany ranked second, as 85 percent of the CISOs stated the same. Overall, around 63 percent of organizations across the researched markets said they had dealt with material loss of sensitive information in the previous year.

According to the source, respondents represent organizations of 200 employees or more across different industries in 16 countries. One hundred CISOs were interviewed in each market, which includes the U.S., Canada, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands, UAE, KSA, Australia, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and Brazil.
