In 2022, Tesla's fleet-average energy consumption after curb weight adjustment was the lowest compared to other battery-electric manufacturers. Tata's and BYD's average energy consumption ranked as second and third-lowest, at 130 and 136 watt-hours per kilometer. In contrast, Mazda had the highest average energy consumption after curb weight adjustment, at 171 watt-hours per kilometer.
