Across the U.S., St. Louis, MO was the metro with the strongest outbound migration based on data about renters' apartment search patterns and preferences. In the first quarter of 2023, St. Louis registered a negative lead delta score of 30 percent, followed closely by Atlanta, GA, and Chicago, IL. Lead delta is a rental industry metric measuring the appeal of geographic areas.
