In 2022, the United Kingdom was the country with the largest operating capacity of floating offshore wind energy worldwide. The European country had a total of 80 megawatts installed and it was followed by Portugal and Norway with 25 and 5.9 megawatts. In total, the world reached an operating capacity of floating offshore wind turbines of 124 megawatts in 2022.
