Leading expectations regarding the metaverse in Japan 2023, by gender
A survey conducted in Japan in April 2023 found that 42 percent of both male and female respondents expected the metaverse to be a place in which one can interact with people from around the world. While 38 percent of men thought that it would become possible to communicate similar to reality, the share among women who expected this was lower by several percentage points.
