Share of the population using latrines in Latin America & Caribbean 2000-2022
The proportion of people using latrines as sanitation systems in Latin America and the Caribbean has decreased since the turn of the century. In 2000, some 12.5 percent of the population of Latin America and the Caribbean used latrines, but by 2022 this figures had dropped to approximately eight percent.
