Number of court cases South Korea 2022, by type
In 2022, around six million new lawsuits were filed with the courts in South Korea. Of these cases, civil cases made up approximately 70 percent with around 4,228 cases filed. Criminal cases accounted for roughly 26 percent of the total number of cases with about 1,580 cases filed.
