Annual credit card and debit cards issued in Colombia 2019-2022
Colombia has roughly three times more debit cards in circulation than it has credit cards by the end of 2022. This is according to estimates created by Statista using domestic sources that discussed the number of cards per 10 adults. The number of cards in circulation is a relatively new topic in Colombia, as it was not reported until the coronavirus pandemic in 2020. Since that year, debit cards increased noticeably whereas the number of credit cards had remained unchanged. The numbers provided are estimates as Colombia does not provide many figures on payment cards.
