Annual number of ATMs in Colombia 2008-2022
The total number of ATMs declined in Colombia since 2019, although the figure remained relatively stable. As of 2022, there were approximately 16,000 cash machines operational in the country. Less than 500 of such cash dispensers were closed since 2019. Colombia hopes to push digital payments in a bid to combat its relatively high amount of unbanked population. The country aims to do this by following a similar strategy like Brazil did with Pix.
